How to Play LinkedIn Tango

The goal is to fill the grid with ☀️ sun and 🌙 moon tiles.

  • No more than two ☀️ or 🌙 in a row (vertically or horizontally).
  • Tap a cell to place ☀️ or 🌙.
  • Each row and column must contain the same number of ☀️ and 🌙.
  • Cells with an = sign must be the same (☀️=☀️ or 🌙=🌙).
  • Cells with an × sign must be opposite (☀️×🌙 or 🌙×☀️).
  • Each puzzle has exactly one valid solution - no guessing required.
Example 1 - No More Than Two in a Row

If a row already has ☀️☀️, the next cell cannot be ☀️.

Row: ☀️ | ☀️ | ?
    Next cell must be 🌙
Example 2 - Rows Must Have Equal ☀️ and 🌙

In a 6-cell row, you must place exactly 3 ☀️ and 3 🌙.

Row: 🌙 | ☀️ | 🌙 | ? | ? | ?
    Already: 2 🌙 and 1 ☀️
    Remaining: 2 ☀️ and 1 🌙
Example 3 - Using = and × Clues

= Rule: Cells must match.

A = B
    If A = ☀️, then B must be ☀️.

× Rule: Cells must be opposite.

C × D
    If C = 🌙, then D must be ☀️.
Example 4 - Deduction Only, No Guessing

A forced pattern appears when both ends are the same:

☀️ | ? | ☀️
    Middle must be 🌙

Tango is a logic game from LinkedIn where you need to fill a grid so that each row and column contains the same number of suns (☀️) and moons (🌙). No more than 2 ☀️ or 🌙 may be next to each other, either vertically or horizontally.
