Frontend Engineer (JavaScript, ReactJs, NextJs)
We're looking for a talented Frontend Engineer with a growth mindset to help us build PuzzNest, a cross-platform puzzle game platform spanning a Next.js web app and an Expo React Native mobile app. If you're driven by curiosity, creativity, and a desire to make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build original puzzle games from scratch - game logic, board/UI interactions, and daily-seeded puzzle generation
- Build and maintain daily answer pages for third-party games (Wordle, LinkedIn Games, NYT Games, Contexto), including SSR, structured data, and crawlability improvements
- Build shared, reusable components and page patterns that scale cleanly across dozens of game pages
- Own features end-to-end: from architecture and data layer through UI polish and shipping
- Translate rough ideas or mockups into production-quality, responsive React/Next.js code
- Optimize for Core Web Vitals, SEO, and performance across browsers and devices
- Work across our Next.js web app and Expo React Native mobile app, keeping the experience consistent between platforms
- Contribute to growth and monetization work - ad integrations, subscriptions, and experimentation
- Evaluate open-source tools and libraries, and make pragmatic build-vs-integrate calls for a small, fast-moving team
Requirements:
- Strong command of JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJs, and Next.js
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a user-first mindset
- 1-4 years of relevant experience, with a focus on frontend development
- Previous experience with startups and exposure to a range of microservices and architectural patterns
- Comfortable working independently and owning projects end-to-end in a small team

Backend Engineer
We're looking for a Backend Engineer to own the data and infrastructure layer that powers PuzzNest.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain data pipelines that sync puzzle content from database into our web and mobile apps
- Implement and improve near-real-time update systems, including webhook-based (PubSubHubbub-style) content feeds
- Design caching strategies (in-memory and on-demand revalidation) that keep pages fast without sacrificing freshness
- Integrate with third-party APIs, including the YouTube Data API, to power video and answer content
- Harden our backend for reliability, monitoring, and error handling as traffic grows
- Work closely with frontend engineers to design clean, well-typed data contracts
- Help evaluate when to move workloads off spreadsheet-based data sources onto a proper database
Requirements:
- Strong Python backend experience
- Experience designing caching strategies and integrating third-party APIs
- Comfortable owning infrastructure decisions independently
- Bonus: experience with webhooks/pub-sub systems, the Google Sheets API, or content sync pipelines

SEO / Content Strategist
We're looking for an SEO / Content Strategist to help us turn high-impression, low-CTR pages into real traffic and to guide our content roadmap across dozens of game answer pages.
Responsibilities:
- Own technical SEO audits across the site, from structured data (JSON-LD) to crawlability and indexing issues
- Analyze Google Search Console data to identify high-impression, low-CTR opportunities and turn them into action plans
- Guide title, meta description, and on-page content strategy across game answer pages
- Collaborate with engineering on structured data (BreadcrumbList, FAQPage, VideoObject, ItemList) and internal linking
- Research keyword and content opportunities for new game categories and archive pages
- Track rankings, CTR, and organic traffic trends, and report on what is and isn’t working
Requirements:
- Proven experience with technical SEO, ideally on content-heavy or gaming/puzzle sites
- Comfortable reading Search Console and analytics data and turning it into prioritized recommendations
- Familiarity with structured data / schema.org markup
- Strong writing skills for on-page copy and metadata

Mobile Engineer (React Native / Expo)
We're looking for a Mobile Engineer to take ownership of the PuzzNest Expo app - from solver tools to real-time multiplayer games - as it grows alongside the web platform.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain features across the Expo React Native app, including games, solver tools, and subscription flows
- Improve performance, offline caching, and overall app polish
- Work on real-time features, including our real-time multiplayer game
- Maintain and extend our subscription (RevenueCat) integration
- Keep the mobile experience visually and functionally consistent with the web app
- Handle App Store / Google Play submissions, updates, and store listing optimization
Requirements:
- Strong experience with React Native and Expo
- Experience with subscription/IAP integrations (RevenueCat or similar)
- Comfortable working with real-time data (Firebase/Firestore or similar)
- Experience shipping and maintaining apps on the App Store and Google Play

Growth / Monetization Lead
We're looking for a Growth / Monetization Lead to help us turn PuzzNest's traffic into revenue - through ad network optimization, sponsorships, and new monetization experiments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead our transition to premium ad networks and manage ongoing ad performance
- Identify and pursue direct sponsorship opportunities on high-traffic answer pages
- Design and test new monetization experiments across web and mobile
- Work with engineering to prioritize and scope monetization-related features
- Track revenue metrics and report on what is working across ad, subscription, and sponsorship channels
Requirements:
- Experience with ad networks (AdSense, Ezoic, or similar) and/or subscription monetization
- Comfortable doing outbound sponsorship / business development outreach
- Data-driven approach to testing and prioritizing revenue opportunities
- Bonus: experience with content or gaming sites
