How does Semantle scoring work?
Every guess gets a similarity score based on how close its meaning is to the secret word, calculated using word2vec embeddings. Higher similarity means you're closer, and once you're within the 1,000 nearest words, you'll see your proximity rank too.
Is there a daily guess limit in Semantle?
No. Semantle allows unlimited guesses for each daily puzzle, unlike Wordle's fixed six-guess limit.
What's a good first guess in Semantle?
Start broad, use common nouns like person, place, animal, object, or food. Use the similarity scores from your guesses to figure out the hidden word's general category, then narrow in from there.
How to play Semantle
- Enter any English word as your first guess.
- Each guess gets a semantic similarity score, higher is closer.
- Once you're within the top 1,000 closest words, you'll also see your proximity rank.
